Oppo unveiled the Reno 15 series of smartphones in China back in November 2025. Recent reports suggest that the brand has already started working on the Reno 16 series. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed the key specifications of what appears to be the Reno 16 Pro.

According to the tipster, the engineering prototype of the alleged Reno 16 Pro features a 6.78-inch OLED LTPO panel with a flat design. It has narrow bezels and supports a 1.5K resolution.
It is powered by a Dimensity 9500s chipset, which is also expected to power the upcoming Oppo Find X9s. The device may have a large battery in the 7000mAh range, a 200-megapixel primary camera, and a periscope telephoto lens. Other details point to a metal frame design, indicating a more premium build.
The device is said to be available in white, black, purple, and green colour options, with configurations including 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB storage, although the highest variant may not make it to the final release. The likely reason behind the cancellation of the top variant could be the rising cost of memory chips.

The tipster added that the model is expected to be priced between 4,000 Yuan ($590) and 5,000 Yuan ($740) in China. He also mentioned that the standard Reno 16 will feature a 6.3-inch display and a Dimensity 8-series chip. As for the launch timeline, the Reno 16 series may debut in June and compete with the likes of the Honor 600 series, Huawei Nova 16 lineup, and Vivo S60 lineup.
