According to the tipster, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, which has the part number SM8950, will be built using TSMC’s new-generation 2nm process and will feature a 2+3+3 architecture. As for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro (part number SM8975), it will also be a 2nm chip with the same architecture.

The new leak reveals that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 will have a shared 16MB L2 cache and an Adreno 845 GPU with a six-slice design. It will also be paired with 12MB GMEM, 6MB of system-level cache, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 5.0 storage.

Digital Chat Station added that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 will have slightly reduced cache and peripheral specifications compared to the Pro version. This chip is expected to power mid-tier models in the flagship category.

As per other reports, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro is expected to feature a more powerful Adreno 850 GPU and support LPDDR6 RAM. It may also achieve clock speeds of 5GHz or even 6GHz. Reports suggest that it could power Ultra-branded flagships, and is also expected to be used in devices like the OnePlus 16 and iQOO 16.
