A few days ago, there were rumors suggesting that the upcoming iPhone 7 will be coming Bluetooth powered wireless earbuds dubbed as the AirPod. Since it can be connected to the iPhone via Bluetooth, this set of earbuds doesn’t require any physical connection to the device by means of a 3.5mm headphone jack or a lightning connector.
Even though previous rumors suggested that the Earbuds are completely wireless and will not have a wire between them, but a latest rumor seem to suggest otherwise. According to a new rumor, the upcoming AirPod will not require any physical connection to the iPhone, but there do exist a wire connecting the two earbuds.
The reason for this difference is because there is a charging port along its length, which allows the device to be charged via a lightning connector besides being able to be charged wirelessly like the iPhone 7. This provides an alternative to those who isn’t keen to purchase a wireless charger.
No doubt, the design of the earbuds will still come with the same familiar design as those seen in the current iPhone 6 earphones.
