Alleged Lenovo Legion 2 Pro (L70081) Geekbench Listing Reveals Snapdragon 888 and 16GB RAM

Lenovo launched its first Legion branded gaming phone by announcing the Lenovo Legion Pro in July 2020. It seems that the company is now working on its successor as the alleged Legion 2 Pro smartphone has appeared at the Geekbench benchmarking site.

It is speculated that the Lenovo phone with model number L70081 that has appeared on Geekbench today could be Lenovo Legion 2 Pro gaming phone. The listing reveals that the phone is driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, which is mentioned with its ‘lahaina’ codename.

The chipset is supported by 16 GB of RAM and it is loaded with Android 11 OS. In the single-core test, the smartphone scored 1130 in the single-core test and 3779 in the multi-core test. The Geekbench appearance of the alleged Legion 2 Pro indicates that the company could be internally testing its performance. Hence, it seems that its launch date could be drawing near.

On March 3, the company rolled out the first teaser of its next-generation gaming phone. It revealed that the smartphone will be arriving with a dual-turbo cooling fan. At present, there is no information available on the other specs and features of the device.

The Legion Pro came with Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage of up to 256GB. It featured an FHD+ 6.56-inch AMOLED display and a side-mounted pop-up selfie camera of 20-megapixel. The dual-camera setup placed on the backside of the phone comprised of a 64-megapixel main camera and a 16-megapixel ultrawide shooter. The handset carried support for up to 90W charging for its 5,000mAh battery. Other features that were made available on the Legion Pro include a pair of USB-C ports and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
