Nokia G10 Bags SIRIM Certification, Gaming Focused Phone May Launch Soon

On Sunday, Nokia Power User reported that HMD Global is planning to launch a new G-series Nokia smartphone. It is speculated that the G lineup will include gaming-focused smartphones. It mentioned that the first Nokia G-series smartphone could be Nokia G10, and its model number is TA-1334. It seems that the arrival of the Nokia G10 smartphone could be drawing near as it has received approval from Malaysia’s SIRIM authority.

Except for confirming that the final product name of the Nokia TA-1334 phone is Nokia G10, the SIRIM listing has no information on its specifications. This model number was previously seen with other variants such as TA-1338, TA-T1346, and TA-1351 at the TUV certification platform. The TA-1334 was also spotted at Thailand’s NBTC certification site in the recent past. It had revealed that it will be an LTE device.

According to NPU, the Nokia G10 might be quite similar to Nokia 5.4 smartphone in terms of specifications. It is said to be equipped with a 6.4-inch display as well as octa-core processor. Other rumored specs also include a 48-megapixel quad-camera system and possible fast-charging support.  The other specs of the G10 are under wraps.

In related news, Nokiabar revealed that the Nokia phones arriving later this year will have a new naming convention. It claimed that HMD Global will finally ditch the confusing ‘dot’ naming pattern that it has been using since 2017. There is a possibility that the names of the Nokia phones arriving in the future may have a mix of alphabets and numbers. Probably, the Nokia G10 could be the first phone to arrive with the new naming style.
