Alleged OnePlus 8T with Android 11 Emerges on Geekbench

OnePlus has recently unveiled the OnePlus Nord, a mid-range 5G phone. There are reports that its next Nord series smartphone could be fueled by the Snapdragon 690. Last year in September, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 7T series as an upgraded version of the OnePlus 7 series. Hence, it is likely that the Chinese firm may launch the OnePlus 8T series a few months later. A new OnePlus phone with KB2001 model number has surfaced on Geekbench. It could be the upcoming OnePlus 8T smartphone.

As can be seen in the screenshot, the OnePlus KB2001 phone has recorded a score of 912 in the single-core test and it scored 3288 in the multi-core test. The smartphone is found to be running on Android 11 which is yet to go official.

The OnePlus KB2001 is driven by Qualcomm’s flagship processor that is mentioned with its Kona codename in the listing. Since OnePlus 8 series already arrived with Snapdragon 865 onboard, it could be OnePlus 8T phone powered by the Snapdragon 865+ SoC. The variant of the phone that got benchmarked on Geekbench 5 has 8 GB of RAM.

There are no concrete proofs to confirm that the KB2001 is the model number of the upcoming OnePlus 8T phone. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know more about the device.

In related news, a recent report on XDA Developers revealed that the BE2025, BE2026, BE2028 and BE2029 are the model names of a forthcoming OnePlus phone powered by the Snapdragon 690. Hence, it is being speculated that it could be the next OnePlus Nord smartphone.
