OnePlus Nord 5G officially launched with Snapdragon 765G, 48MP Quad-cameras & 30W fast-charging

After weeks of teasing, the OnePlus Nord 5G finally made its official debut via an AR-based launch event – the first among all smartphone makers. This device as we know, will mark OnePlus’s return to the ever-competitive mid-ranger smartphone market.

Despite having a really competitive price tag, the OnePlus Nord still managed to squeeze in quite a fair bits of premium features which are typically limited to flagship phones.

This include its 6.44-inches FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display which boast a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner. To sweeten the deal further, the front display is also shielded by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to protect the device against scratches or accidental drops.

In the camera department, the OnePlus Nord will feature a quad-cameras system at the rear which is headlined by a 48 megapixels main camera with OIS stabilization. It will be assisted by an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens for group photos, 5 megapixel depth sensor for portraits, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up shots.

Over at the front, we can also expect a dual-camera setup which is housed within a pill=shaped cutout located on the top-left corner of the display. This will include a 32 megapixels primary shooter as well as an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens.

Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord is driven by a 5G-ready Snapdragon 765G SoC which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. As with any other OnePlus devices, the OnePlus Nord will not be coming with a microSD slot and 3.5mm headphone jack.

To keep its lights on, the device draws power from a 4,115mAh battery which carries support for the company’s proprietary Wrap Charge 30T fast-charging technology that could bring the device from 0 to 70% within 30 minutes.

For those who’re interested, the OnePlus Nord will be offered in two different colorways including Blue Marble and Gray Onyx. The entry model with 6GB+64GB memory configuration will be priced at Rp24,999 and will go on sale only in September.

The higher-end models with 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB on the other hand, will be priced at Rp27,999/ €399 and Rp29,999/ €499 respectively. These models will be up for grabs starting August 4th via OnePlus official online storefront.
