Alleged Snapdragon 865 Geekbench Listing Spotted

A mysterious listing of a testing device dubbed as ‘Qualcomm Kona’ has appeared on Geekbench. Since it has managed to record better scores than Snapdragon 855 in the single-core and multi-core tests, it is speculated that it could be the upcoming Snapdragon 865.

In the single-core test, it has scored 4149 points and it has recorded a score of 12915 points in the multi-core test. The processor is mentioned as ‘msmnile’ which is the codename of the Snapdragon 855 chipset. Most of the SD855 phones have scored around 3500 in the single-core and nearly 11000 in the multi-core test. Moreover, the base frequency mentioned in the listing of the SD855 powered phones on Geekbench is 1.78GHz. However, the base frequency of the alleged Snapdragon 865 on Geekbench is 1.8GHz.

The Geekbench listing also shows that the phone is running on the Android 10 operating system and the SoC is coupled with 6 GB of RAM. There is no official information on the existence of the Snapdragon 865. The Geekbench listing clearly reveals that the mysterious processor excels in multi-core test with scores reaching 13k mark. Hopefully, the Snapdragon 865 will be made official by the end of the year 2019.
