Alleged Vivo X50 / X50 Pro Appears on Geekbench With Snapdragon 765G

Vivo will be launching the Vivo X50 series of smartphones on June 1 in China. The X50 series includes Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro smartphones. Ahead of the launch, the company has been busy teasing on the eye-like gimbal camera system that will be available on the X50 Pro smartphone. An alleged Vivo X50 series phone has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform. It seems to be powered by Snapdragon 765G.

The newly spotted “vivo V2005A” that has surfaced on Geekbench 5 could be the Vivo X50 phone. The handset is powered by a octa-core chipset by Qualcomm with a base frequency of 1.8GHz. The “Arm implementer 81 architecture 8 variant 15 part 2052 revision 14” text mentioned in the “Identifier” field suggests that it could be fueled by Snapdragon 765G.

The chipset of the V2005A smartphone is coupled with 8 GB of RAM. The handset is loaded with Android 10 OS. The final product of the device is most likely to ship with a FunTouch OS 10 UI. In the single-core test, the handset recorded a score of 615 and it reached a score of 1909 in the multi-core test.

The Vivo X30 series that debuted in China in December 2019 was driven by Exynos 980 chipset. However, the Vivo X50 lineup seems to be driven by the Snapdragon 765G. The other specifications of the smartphone are currently under wraps. The 3C appearance of the same phone had revealed that it could be shipping with a 33W fast charger.

The Vivo X50 series renders that have surfaced on JD listing has revealed that the X50 has a punch-hole display with a flat appearance while the Pro model has a punch-hole with curved edges. The X50 has a quad-camera setup. The X50 Pro has a slightly different quad-camera setup and its main attraction is the gimbal camera system.
