Xiaomi has recently launched the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphones in China. The next major flagship phone from the brand will be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which is expected to launch next year. A Weibo post that surfaced today has revealed key details about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
In the screenshot below, tipster Digital Chat Station can be seen talking about two upcoming Xiaomi phones with the M1 and M18 codenames. The M1 is likely to be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra flagship phone, whereas the M18 could be the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 foldable smartphone.
The leak reveals that both models will have 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The leak does not mention anything else about the other specs of both devices. Hence, it appears that both models may come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform.
The tipster had recently claimed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will inherit the primary camera, which was made available on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Hence, it appears that the 13 Ultra will have the 1-inch Sony IMX898 primary camera. It will be accompanied by three more cameras, but their details are not known yet.
The Xiaomi 11 Ultra, which was one of the best flagship phones last year, had a limited global release. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra has remained exclusive to the Chinese market. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun stated in August that the next Ultra model will be released in global markets. Hence, it appears the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will launch in wider markets.
