Last month, Honor unveiled the Honor 80 SE, Honor 80, and Honor 80 Pro in China. Multiple reports have claimed that its next launch event will be held in December in China. Today, the company confirmed that it will unveil the Honor 80 GT at 7:30 pm (local time) on Dec. 26 in the home market.
The poster released by the brand gives the first look at the rear design of the Honor 80 GT. As can be seen, it sports a punch-hole display on the front. Its back panel has a unique rectangle-shaped camera module as compared to the other Honor 80 series models.
The camera setup has three cameras, including a 54-megapixel primary snapper. The right edge of the device has a volume rocker and a power key. The company is yet to confirm the key specifications of the phone.
Rumors surrounding the Honor 80 GT have revealed it has an OLED panel that produces a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. It is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1’s low-frequency version, which also powers the Reno 9 Pro+.
The SoC is likely to be accompanied by 16 GB of RAM. The device is likely to support 66W rapid charging. For photography, it is likely to feature a Sony IMX800 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro / depth sensor.
The Honor Pad V8 Pro tablet and the Honor 80 Pro’s flat screen edition are also expected to launch with the Honor 80 GT. The tablet will come equipped with a 12.1-inch screen, a Dimensity 8100 chipset, and 33W fast charging. It is also said to be the world’s first IMAX-enhanced tablet. The Honor 80 Pro’s new model is expected to feature a flat OLED panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution and is likely to feature the same chip as the Honor 80 GT.
