However before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of rooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Its a good practice for you to backup your device to an external source apart from your own SD Card.
Follow the steps below on how to root the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 with firmware version 7.4.6 :
- Make sure you have uninstalled the original driver for the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 and download the Kindle ADB Drivers on your PC instead.
- Download the Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v31.zip and extract it to a folder on your desktop.
- Go to Settings > Security and make sure you have enabled the ADB option.
- Connect your tablet to your PC using a USB cable.
- From the extracted folder, double-click on the RunMe.bat file.
- You maybe asked whether you want to backup your data, but please do not back up!
- Hit the Enter key on your desktop.
- Next up, select Restore My Data.
- Your tablet will automatically reboot once or twice.
- Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7.
