Huawei begin rolling out KitKat update for the Ascend P6

Huawei has begun rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for their Huawei Ascend P6 flagship earlier today. Although the device has been released more than a year ago, it seems like Huawei has yet to forget about it.

This will be an OTA update which comes with a massive file size of 790MB, so make sure you’re connected to the WiFi before you begin download it to your device. Below is the official changelogs for this update:

  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • Huawei Emotion UI 2.3
  • New camera filters
  • Camera watermark
  • Phone manager app for performance boost, file cleanup, power management
  • Faster PIN unlock on the lockscreen
  • Better notification management and access on the lockscreen

Currently, this update has been rolled out only in Europe but we expect other regions to receive it in the next few weeks or so as well. Do share with us more about the KitKat update once you have it on your device!
