Following the footpath of many other mobile companies, Huawei has added two new color options to their Mate 9 lineup namely Agate Red as well as Topaz Blue. Previously, the Huawei Mate 9 is available only in Ceramic White, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown, Moonlight Silver, Obsidian Black and Space Gray. The only limitation is that the new colors are currently available only to the 4GB+64GB version.
This two variants will go on sale on May 14th later this week, and will come with the same price tag of 3,899 Yuan ($564). Although there still isn’t any official words whether this two colors will be heading to the rest of the world, there is a high possibility that it could be exclusive only to the Chinese market – as Red color is regarded as a sign of prosperity among the Chinese people.
Needless to say, this move will definitely pump up the sales of their 6 months old flagship in the native market.
