Following the official launch of the Huawei P40 flagship series yesterday, the P40 Pro with model number ELS-AN00 has popped up on AnTuTu’s database as well.
According to AnTuTu, the Huawei P40 Pro has achieved an overall score of 482,457 points for it’s benchmark test. Although the score is slightly underwhelming as compared to the recent Snapdragon 865-driven flagship phones, but it outperforms majority of the Snapdragon 855 or Snapdragon 855+ devices.
This shouldn’t came much as a surprised given that the underlying Kirin 990 SoC is slightly older than the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 platform which was only announced in December last year.
Smartphone performance aside, we do know that the key selling point of the Huawei P40 Pro in fact lies on it’s revolutionary camera system which sets a new benchmark for smartphone photography.
This time round, the Huawei P40 Pro will feature a quad-camera setup that has a 50 megapixels “UltraVision” RYYB sensor as it’s main camera, along with another 40 megapixels ultra-wide cine lens dedicated for videography.
The third and forth sensors will be a 12 megapixels RYYB periscope lens capable of achieving up to 5x optical zoom, as well as a ToF camera for depth sensing.
Besides that, other key highlights of the camera system also includes the latest Huawei XD Fusion Engine which is said to enable faster processing of data with “unmatched clarity at the pixel level”. Similarly, it also has an Octa Phase Detection which enables ultra-quick autofocus capabilities.
