Huawei Y3 (2018) Launched as First Huawei Android Go Phone

Recent reports had claimed that Huawei would be soon debuting its first Android Go phone. An unnamed Huawei executive had revealed in the last month, that the first Huawei Android Go phone will be a Y-series phone from the company and it will be coming first to South Africa in May. Today, the Huawei Y3 (2018) has appeared with entire specifications and official images on the South African edition of Huawei’s site.

The Huawei Y3 (2018) entry-level phone is packed in a polycarbonate body. Its dimensions are 144.1 x 73.7 x 9.45mm and it weighs 180 grams. Its color variants include white, grey and gold. The 5-inch display of the phone produces 854 x 480 pixels resolution.

The MediaTek MT6737 SoC and 1 GB of RAM powers the Y3 (2018). It has an internal storage of 8 GB and it includes a dedicated microSD card slot. The handset is preinstalled with Android Oreo (Go edition). The Y3 (2018) has a rear camera of 8-megapixel that is enabled with features like autofocus and LED flash. It has a fixed focus selfie snapper of 2-megapixel. Its other features include 2,280mAh battery, loudspeaker, dual SIM support, 4G LTE, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm headphone slot. At present, there is no information available on its pricing.
