Nokia 7 Plus Appears on Geekbench with Snapdragon 660

HMD Global will be unleashing new smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in the next month. Some of the rumored phones that are expected to debut at MWC 2018 include Nokia 1, Nokia 4, Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 9 and Nokia 3310 4G. Today, the existence of the Nokia 7 Plus has been confirmed as it has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform.

The Nokia 7 is one of the recent phones from HMD Global. It is the only phone from the company to feature glass chassis and it is the first Nokia smartphone to feature Snapdragon 630 chipset. The Finnish firm seems to be prepping up on the launch of an upgraded Nokia 7 as a smartphone labelled as “HMD Global Nokia 7 Plus” has been found listed on the benchmarking site. It seems to be an upgraded version of Nokia 7 as it is powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset.

The handset is running on Android 8.0 Oreo and is packed with 4 GB of RAM. In the single-core test, the Nokia 7 Plus has scored 1636 whereas it has recorded a score of 5902 in multi-core test. It appears that apart from the new processor, this variant may not feature other changes. Also, this could be an international variant of the phone.
