Official: Vivo Y16 debuts with MediaTek Helio P35, 13MP dual cameras & 5,000mAh battery

Vivo has officially announced a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the Vivo Y16 in the Hong Kong market where the phone carries an affordable launch price of just HKD 1,098 ($140).

The new model builds around a 6.51” IPS LCD display with HD+ screen resolution topped with 60Hz refresh rate. On top of that, there’s also a 5 megapixels front-facing camera that handles selfies and video calls on the device.

Speaking of photography, the Vivo Y16 also has a total of two cameras at the back comprising of a 13 megapixels main camera as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up photography. To assist in low-light photography, there’s also has a LED flash situated towards on the right side of the lenses.

It will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset which will be paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department. Software-wise, the phone will be shipped with the latest FuntouchOS 12 based on Android 12 OS out of the box.

Keeping it’s lights on will be a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast-charging support. Those who’re interested can pick the phone from two different colors such as Stellar Black and Drizzling Gold.
