Official: Vivo Y78+ debuts with Snapdragon 695, 50MP dual-cameras & 44W fast-charging

Vivo has announced a new mid-range model dubbed as the Vivo Y78+ in the Chinese market where the phone carries an affordable starting price of just 1,599 Yuan ($232). The Y78+ brings along a 6.78” AMOLED display with FHD+ screen resolution and a fast 120Hz refresh rate.

On the imaging front, the Vivo Y78+ features a dual rear camera system lead by a 50 megapixels main camera along with a 2 megapixels depth sensing unit. This will be rounded out by an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y78+ is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card. To keep it’s light on, the phone is also backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support.

Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colorways such as Blue, Yellow and Black. Pricing for the phone starts from 1,599 Yuan ($232) for the 8GB+128GB trim and goes up to 1,999 Yuan ($289) for the highest-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
