Official: ZTE Blade V40 Smart debuts with UNISOC Tiger T612 chipset, 13MP triple cameras & 6,000mAh battery

Chinese telecommunication giant ZTE has unveiled a new Blade series smartphone known as the ZTE Blade V40 Smart in the South American market. This entry-level smartphone is offered in three different colors such as red, black and blue, and is priced starting at $195.

The ZTE Blade V40 Smart builds around a 6.75” LCD display offering a HD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, it has a 5 megapixels front-facing camera housed within a waterdrop-notch along the upper bezel of the phone.

Over on the rear side, it features a rectangular camera island which houses a trio of cameras including a 13 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core UNISOC Tiger T612 chipset which will be paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the device draws power from a respectable 6,000mAh battery which brings support for 22.5W fast-charging support. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with a slightly older Android 11 OS out of the box.
