Realme Q2 has been certified by BIS; Global launch seems imminent

Back in October this year, Realme announced a mid-ranger smartphone known as the Realme Q2 in the Chinese market which is targeted towards the affordable 5G segment.

Right now, the Realme Q2 with model number RMX2117 has been certified by India’s BIS authority – hinting that the device might soon be launched in the global market. However, it is not known whether the Realme Q2 Pro will be heading to the global market as well.

As a quick recap, the Realme Q2 features a 6.5-inches FHD+ LCD display that boasts a smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate. It dons a hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner of the front which houses a 16 megapixels selfie camera.

At the helm, the Realme Q2 will be powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset which will be assisted by up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

In the camera department, the Realme Q2 relies on a triple camera system consisting of a 48 megapixels primary shooter alongside an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens and 2 megapixels macro camera.

Keeping its lights on is none other than a massive 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support. Besides that, the Realme Q2 also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as the highly-coveted 3.5mm headphone jack.
