Samsung Galaxy F22 Debuts with MediaTek Helio G80 & 48MP Quad Cameras

Samsung has officially unveiled a new entry-level smartphone known as the Samsung Galaxy F22 which will first be made available in the Indian market, where the phone carries a starting price of INR12,499 (US$168).

Starting with the front, the Galaxy F22 features a 6.4” Super AMOLED display that offers a HD+ screen resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. On top of that, it also comes with a dewdrop-notch that houses a 13 megapixels front-facing shooter for selfie and video-calling purposes.

Around the back of the phone, it sports a square-shape camera island that houses a quad-camera system including a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels for macro and depth information.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy F22 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 chipset which is paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s light on, the phone draws power from a massive 6,000mAh battery that carries support for 15W fast-charging. Other than that, the Galaxy F22 also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and will be shipped with One UI 3.1 (based on Android 11).

In India, the Galaxy F22 is priced at INR12,499 (US$168) and INR14,499 (US$195) respectively for it’s 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB variants.
