Samsung has released a new teaser on its official Twitter account to confirm that it will be launching a new Exynos chip on Jan. 4. The teaser does not contain any information on the name of the chipset that the South Korean tech giant will be unveiling. Speculations have it that the company would be announcing the Exynos 9810 SoC.
Around two months ago, the Exynos 9810 chipset was found listed among the 36 products that would be receiving Consumer Electronics Show (2018) Innovation Awards. Rumors have revealed that it will be featuring ARM Mali-G72 graphics and Cat. 18 gigabit 6CA LTE modem that can produce maximum LTE speeds of 1.2 Gbps. It is also speculated that the chipset will be coming with AI capabilities.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are speculated to debut in February. The rumor mill has claimed that the Galaxy S9 duo arriving in the U.S. and China will be driven by Snapdragon 845 chipset and the international variants will be featuring Exynos 9810 chipset. The Galaxy Note 9 that will be debuting in the third quarter of 2018 is also expected to feature the Exynos 9810 chipset. After getting announced on Jan. 4, Samsung may showcase the Exynos 9810 chipset at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 event.
