Sony begin rolling out Jelly Bean update to the Xperia Tablet S

If you’re holding on to the Sony Xperia Tablet S, you may have received an update notification prompting you to download the latest update that will bring your software up from Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. Although the official changelog for this update isn’t available yet, but it’ll definitely bring the latest Google Now, Project Butter and many other Jelly Bean goodies to the Xperia Tablet S.

 

Since the update file probably weighs more than 50MB, it may be a good idea that you’re connected to the Wi-Fi before you begin to download. Nevertheless if you’ve yet to receive the Jelly Bean update notification, you may want to manually check for the update by going to Settings > About phone > System software updates. As of now, the update will be heading to Latin Amerca, followed by the U.S. and finally other regions of the world.
