Sony Xperia SP to receive Android 4.3 update in December

A leaked document from French carrier Free Mobile seems to suggest that the Sony Xperia SP will be receiving the Android 4.3 update by the end of the year. Like other Xperia models, the Xperia SP will also be skipping the Android 4.2 update – going straight to Android 4.3 instead.

 

Besides the Xperia SP, we’re also hearing rumors that Sony will be rolling out the Android 4.3 update to their Xperia Z1 flagship in November, next month. Since the Xperia SP will be receiving the update, it isn’t surprising for the Xperia Z1 to be upgraded as well. Unlike Xperia SP, the Xperia Z1 is currently running on Android 4.2 – so the chance of being updated to Android 4.3 is high as well.
