After launching the Tecno POP 5X smartphone last month, Chinese electronics giant Tecno is now back with another budget-friendly smartphone known as the Tecno POP 5S in the Mexican market where the phone carries an affordable launch price of just 2,239 MXN (US$108).
For starter, the Tecno POP 5S sports a 5.71” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution along with 60Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and animation. Other than that, it also comes with a 2 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfie and video calls as well.
At the back, the Tecno POP 5S features a dual-cam system housed within a small rectangular island. These cameras include a 5 megapixels main camera which will be aided by a 0.3 megapixels auxiliary sensor.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by an Unisoc SC9832E chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the Tecno POP 5S draws power from a modest 3,020mAh battery which carries an unspecified charging speed. Interestingly, the phone will be shipped with a slightly older Android 10 (Go Edition) OS out of the box.
