Time Travel: Here’s our first look at the Vivo Y33s (China variant)

Vivo had already announced the Vivo Y33s smartphone in some of the global markets such as Singapore. However, the company appears to be prepping a new variant which will be exclusive to the Chinese market according to a fresh listing spotted on China Telecom’s website.

The upcoming variant will be coming with a slightly different design and specs from the one that was launched in the global market recently. Upfront, the Vivo Y33s features a 6.51” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution. The render revealed that the phone will also have a waterdrop-notch that houses an 8 megapixels selfie camera.

At the back, the phone sports a square-shaped camera bump which is home to a dual-camera setup comprising of a 13 megapixels main camera along with a 2 megapixels auxiliary camera. On top of that, there’s also a LED flash to help with low-light photography.

Under the hood, the new Vivo Y33s is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

Likewise, the phone is also fitted with a respectable 5,000mAh battery which brings support for 18W fast-charging. Other than that, the phone is also likely to be shipped with the latest Android 12 OS out of the box. For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y33s is also listed with a starting price of 1,499 Yuan (US$236) in the Chinese market.
