Vivo S15e hits the market with Exynos 1080 & 50MP dual cameras

Besides launching the headline-grabbing Vivo X80 smartphone series, Vivo has also announced a new S series smartphone in it’s domestic market known as the Vivo S15e. This will be the first model from the company’s latest S15 series lineup which is also expected to include at least two other models such as the Vivo S15 and S15 Pro which was alleged spotted on TENAA recently.

Right off the bat, the Vivo S15e features a 6.44” AMOLED display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution alongside a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Other than that, it also has a 16 megapixels front-facing camera to help with both selfies and video calls.

At the back, the phone comes with a rectangular-shaped camera module which houses a trio of cameras comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera which will be joint by an 8 megapixels ultra-wide unit and a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up.

Under the hood, the Vivo S15e is powered by an octa-core Exynos 1080 chipset which will be coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. To keep it’s lights on, it’s also baked with a respectable 4,700mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support.

Coming to the software side of things, the Vivo S15e is shipped with OriginOS based on a slightly older Android 11 OS out of the box. For those who’re interested, the Vivo S15e is priced starting at 1,999 Yuan (US$305) for it’s 8GB+128GB base model in the Chinese market.
