Vivo Y50 is an upcoming mid-ranger with a hole-punched display

It seems like Vivo is currently prepping yet another mid-ranger smartphone which is expected to make its debut soon. This device, known as the Vivo Y50, had recently been spotted on Google Play Console listing alongside it’s official render and some of the device’s key specs.

Vivo Y50 Render

Unlike the other “Y-series” smartphones, the upcoming Vivo Y50 will be the first smartphone in the series to feature a hole-punched display rather than having the conventional dewdrop-notch on its front panel. Sad to say, the listing doesn’t reveal the design of it’s rear design, so it remains as a mystery for the time being.

The Vivo Y50 will be touting a FHD+ display with an unspecified dimension. It will be powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with 6GB worth of RAM. Unsurprisingly, it will run on the latest Android 10 OS as well. At the moment, we still do not have any information pertaining to the device’s camera system but we believe there will be at least three cameras at the back.

As with most other “Y-series” smartphones, the Vivo Y50 is expected to be available only in select markets. It is expected to fall in the same segment as other budget-friendly smartphones from Realme and Redmi.
