Xiaomi 12 Lite allegedly spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 778G chipset

Xiaomi had just recently announced the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones in the global market, with a total of three models announced including the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, as well as Xiaomi 12X.

Now, it seems like the company is working on another upcoming Xiaomi 12 series smartphone known as the Xiaomi 12 Lite which was allegedly spotted on Geekbench earlier today along with some of it’s crucial specs.

The listing revealed that the phone would be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G chipset which will put it behind the rest of the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones in terms of specs. This isn’t surprising since last year’s Xiaomi 11 Lite (Review) was also the most affordable model within it’s numerical lineup.

Other than that, the same listing also revealed that the Xiaomi 12 Lite would be coming with 8GB RAM, though we can expect more RAM variants to be made available at launch. Software-wise, the phone is unsurprisingly coveted by the latest Android 12 OS out of the box.

At the moment, there still isn’t much information on the official launch date on the phone. However, the phone should be announced by the end of April if we go by the company’s launch schedule last year.
