Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus budget phones. Here is all the information available on the specifications, features and pricing of Redmi 5 duo.
Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus Specifications
The Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus respectively feature HD+ and FHD+ screens that carry support for an aspect ratio of 18:9. These phones come with some common features like soft-LED flash enabled 5-megapixel (1.25 µm pixel size) selfie camera, an LED-enabled 12-megapixel rear camera, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus are enabled with connectivity features such as 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. The Snapdragon 450 chipset and 3,300mAh battery fires the Redmi 5 phone whereas the Snapdragon 625 chipset and 4,000mAh battery is present under the hood of the Redmi 5 Plus phone.

The 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage and 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variants of the Redmi 5 are respectively priced at 799 Yuan and 899 Yuan. On the other side, the 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variants of the Redmi 5 Plus respectively cost 999 Yuan and 1,299 Yuan. These phones will be available in color choices such as Gold, Rose God, Blue and Black.
