Xiaomi will be launching a Redmi gaming smartphone this month

At the beginning of the month, Redmi’s Product Director Wang Teng had already hinted that the company will be launching a new smartphone later this month.

Although the identity of this handset wasn’t revealed, but rumors are rife that that the device could be the long-rumored Redmi gaming smartphone that’s said to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 chipset.

Now, it seems like all these rumors are proven to be accurate as Redmi has finally begin teasing on this device which has been confirmed to launch towards the end of the month.

According to Redmi, the upcoming Redmi gaming smartphone shapes up to be a flagship phone that delivers specially customized gaming features and functionalities for its users.

Besides that, earlier reports had also suggested that this device is likely to feature a quad-camera system lead by a 64 megapixels Sony IMX686 primary shooter. In other markets like India, this device could be launched under the POCO branding as well.
