Apple iPhone 9 May Debut on April 15

Apple is expected to unleash the successor of the iPhone SE from 2016 in this month. While early reports had dubbed it as iPhone SE 2, newer rumors have claimed that it could be arriving as iPhone 9. Few weeks ago, it was said that the arrival of the phone has been deleted indefinitely due to the outbreak of COVID-19. A fresh report has revealed that the unveiling of the iPhone 9 is on track and it may go official on April 15.

The report states that the company had an internal meeting to discuss on the launch of the iPhone 9. They have reportedly come to a conclusion to unveil the much-awaited compact iPhone on April 15. The report also reveals that the iPhone 9 sales will begin on April 22.

There is no confirmation on whether Apple will be holding a livestream online launch event to announce the iPhone 9. There is a possibility that the phone could be announced through a press release. The handset is speculated to carry a starting price of $349 or $399. Hence, it will be Apple’s weapon to take on other brands in the mid-range segment.

As far as the design of the iPhone 9 is concerned, the leaked renders that appeared at the beginning of the year revealed that it will a 4.7-inch Liquid Retina LCD panel surrounded by thick bezels. It may sport a front camera of 8-megapixel. The chin of the device will have the good old Touch ID sensor enabled home button.

The back panel of the iPhone 9 will have a single camera. It could be powered by the Apple A13 Bionic chipset and 3 GB of RAM. It could be available in 64 GB and 128 GB storage flavors.
