BlackBerry Aurora is the new midrange smartphone from the brand. it is the first smartphone from the brand to carry to dual-SIM support. The smartphone is available only in Indonesia at the moment as it was announced in partnership with the country’s BB Merah Putih.
The Aurora has a 5.5-inch HD display, a 1.4 GHz 4napdragon 425 SoC and 4 GB of RAM. It also features a microSD storage. The LED flash enabled 13-megapixel rear shooter can shoot impressive images with manual camera settings. Its fixed focus front-facing snapper is of 8-megapixel.
Its press release states that BlackBerry Aurora that runs on Android 7.0 Nougat offers advanced security features. However, it does not feature a fingerprint sensor. It includes a 4,000 mAh battery.
The BlackBerry Aurora pre-orders have started in Indonesia through online retailers with a pricing of IDR 3,499,000 ($261). It comes in Gold, Black and Silver colors. The pre-ordered units will begin shipping on March 13. Buyers who pre-book it will get JBL Bluetooth speaker and a flip case for free
