Budget-centric Redmi 9 will arrive in Singapore on July 10th for just S$218

Following the success of the Redmi 8 series lineup, Xiaomi is now back with their next iteration of budget-centric smartphone – Redmi 9. As expected, the device is once again offered at an extremely attractive price tag of just S$218, and is no doubt one of the cheapest entry-level smartphone in the market.

Redmi 9 Color Options

Despite its low-price, the Redmi 9 still offers load of interesting features and powerful specs under the hood. For starter, the device features a nice-looking 6.53-inches dewdrop-notch LCD display which boast an impressive FHD+ screen resolution.

At the back, the Redmi 9 has a quad-cameras setup consisting of a 13 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 5 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth helper. In fact, its worth noting that we don’t usually see quad-cameras system among budget smartphones – but Redmi 9 is certainly one of the few.

Under the hood, the Redmi 9 is powered by an octa-core Helio G80 SoC designed by MediaTek. This will be assisted by 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage in the memory compartment which could be further expandable by up to 512GB via a microSD card.

At the helm, the Redmi 9 draws power from a massive 5,020mAh battery which is capable of supporting 18W fast-charging. As usual, the device will be shipped with the latest MIUI 11 based on Android 10 OS. It will be offered in a total of three different colorways including Carbon Grey, Ocean Green, Sunset Purple.

For those who’re interested, the Redmi 9 will be available online via official Xiaomi stores on Lazada, Shopee, Singtel and Qoo10, as well as offline channels which include Singtel stores, Authorized Mi Stores and other official retailers in Singapore.
