OPPO has officially announced the highly anticipated ColorOS 7 UI during an official launch event held in China today.
Their latest iteration of ColorOS will bring some interesting new features and tweaks as follow:
- Improved system-wide dark mode
- Improved system performance & smoother user experience
- Revamped UI with customizable icons & an eye comfort color system
- Redesigned sound effects across the system
- New Art+ wallpapers that bring users a refined desktop experience
- New typeface known as OPPO Sans
- Portrait Mode 2.0
- Enhanced Night Mode
- Super-Steady Mode for video recording
According to OPPO, the new ColorOS 7 is able to boost the startup time by 25%, system fluency by 30%, and will also bring about 40% improvement in terms of memory management. Seen above, the new system-wide dark mode will cover third-party app and could be automatically fired up at specific time of the day according to user settings.
So, when will you be getting the update on your OPPO or Realme device? To answer that, OPPO has released the tentative ColorOS 7 update schedule which has been split into 4 phases for OPPO devices, and 3 phases for Realme devices:
