During a recent interview in China, president of Huawei Consumer Business Software Dr. Wang Chenglu had confirmed that the company next generation’s EMUI will arrive in Q3, 2020.
Although the actual date of the announcement wasn’t revealed, but many speculated that the brand new EMUI 11 will debut alongside the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 series.
During the past 8 years, we’d seen substantial upgrades and improvements to the EMUI custom user interface with new features added every year. Some of the notable milestones include the introduction of GPU Turbo technology in EMUI 8, as well as the implementation of ARK compiler and EROFS in EMUI 9.
More recently, Huawei had also begun rolling out the EMUI 10.1 updates to a wide range of Huawei and Honor smartphones that include useful features which help to boost collaborations and productivity.
Besides perfecting the EMUI custom interface, Huawei is also working actively on the Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) with new alternative services and apps to replace GMS.
Their years of hard work had proven to be fruitful after the company displaced Samsung as the top smartphone maker in the world for the first time in April.
