Recent reports have revealed that Samsung could be soon launching at least three A-series smartphones such as Galaxy A32 5G, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A72 5Gv in the near future. Among these, the Galaxy A32 5G is believed to debuted as the cheapest 5G phone from the brand. Fresh information shared by a South Korean publication states that the Galaxy A22 5G launching next could be the most affordable 5G smartphone from the brand.
The Galaxy A32 5G is expected to arrive in early 2021 with a pricing of around 299 euros ($365). The new report reveals that the Galaxy A22 5G debuting in the second half of 2020 could be priced around 200,000 won ($185). The smartphone will be aimed at emerging markets like India and Southeast Asian countries.
The Galaxy A22 5G is expected to succeed the Galaxy A21 LTE phone that was announced a few months back. The handset will rival with low-priced 5G phones from brands like Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo.
Samsung will reportedly use JDM (joint development and production) strategy to manufacture the Galaxy A22 5G by partnering with Chinese companies Wingtech and Hwachin. Unlike ODM, where the outsource company has the responsibility of building the phone from its design to production, Samsung will be partially involved in some of the major product specifications.
At present, there is no information available on the specifications of the Galaxy A22 5G. The recently spotted Geekbench listing revealed that the Galaxy A32 5G could be coming with the Dimensity 720 5G chipset. It remains to be seen whether the Galaxy A22 5G will be equipped with Dimensity 700 5G chipset or some other low-powered 5G-enabled chipset.
