Google unveiled the Pixel 6a mid-range phone at the I/O 2022 developer event in May this year. On the same platform, they revealed the design of the Pixel 7 lineup. It was also confirmed that it would be officially announced in October. However, it did not confirm the exact launch date. FrontPageTech has published a new leak to reveal the pre-order and release dates of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
The publication has learnt through its sources that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be available for pre-order on Oct. 6. It has been speculated that the Pixel 7 series launch event could be held on the same date. Both devices will go on sale on Oct. 13.
The official images of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have revealed that these devices will look similar to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro from last year. Here is a look at the rumored specifications of the Pixel 7 duo.
Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro Specifications (Rumored)
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be equipped with AMOLED panels with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The vanilla model will carry support for 1080 x 2400 pixels of Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, whereas its Pro edition will support Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. These devices are expected to support HDR10 and HLG.
The Pixel 7 duo is expected to feature a new selfie camera, which will be capable of shooting 4K videos. It will be an 11-megapixel Samsung 3J1 camera with dual-pixel autofocus support.
The Pixel 7 will feature a dual-camera setup, whereas the Pro model will flaunt a triple camera unit on the back. Both phones are expected to feature a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 main camera and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX381 ultra-wide lens. The Pixel 7 Pro will be equipped with a 48-megapixel Samsung GN1 telephoto camera.
The Pixel 7 duo will feature the Tensor 2 chip. The rest of the specifications of both models are under wraps.
