Vivo has recently introduced the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro in the Chinese market, marking the first phones to feature the Dimensity 9300 chipset. However, those anticipating the successor to the Vivo X90 Pro+ were surprised, as the brand did not launch the Vivo X100 Pro+. A new leak provides information about when the Pro+ variant will be officially unveiled, offering some insight into the release schedule for this anticipated smartphone.
According to information from tipster Digital Chat Station, Vivo executives have confirmed the existence of the Vivo X100 Pro+, which is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This variant is expected to outperform the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, likely boasting advanced features, such as an enhanced periscope camera. However, the exact release date for the Vivo X100 Pro+ is still undetermined.
Current information suggests that the release might take place in the first half of 2024, with a high likelihood of it being later than the Find X7 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra. This means there’s expected to be a gap of less than half a year between the launch of the X100 Pro and the X100 Pro+, giving enthusiasts some time to wait for this advanced model.
Reports have claimed that the Vivo X100 Pro+ will be equipped with the LYT-900 primary camera, which is said to be a modified version of the 1-inch Sony IMX989 camera. Its camera setup is also expected to include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
The X100 Pro+ is likely to feature the same display and battery available on the Pro model. Hence, it is expected to house a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED display with support for 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It may pack a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
