Honor has recently launched the Honor X40 Racing Edition, Honor V Purse, and Honor Magic V2 foldable phones in China. Reports have revealed that the brand is working on the Honor 100 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. However, it appears that before the Honor 100 and 100 Pro break cover in November, the company may unveil two smartphones, the Honor 100 GT and the Honor X50 GT, in the preceding weeks.
According to DCS, the Honor 100 GT and Honor X50 GT will sport high-end designs. Both devices will come equipped with high-quality flat displays, Snapdragon flagship chipsets, and lots of memory. Unfortunately, specific details about their specifications are not known yet.
In all likelihood, the Honor 100 GT and Honor X50 GT will be announced in October in China. Hence, it appears that the rumor mill will spill more details about these devices in the coming weeks.
The Honor 100 GT does not have a predecessor phone, but the Honor X50 GT will replace the Snapdragon 888-powered Honor X40 GT, which was announced in October last year.
After these smartphones, Honor is expected to switch its focus to the Honor 100 and 100 Pro. A recent leak by DCS revealed that Honor will conduct the Honor 100 series’ internal testing in October in China. It is speculated that the Honor 100 Pro will feature a quad-curved OLED display with a pill-shaped cutout for a dual selfie camera system, support for 3840Hz PWM dimming, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Honor 100 series is expected to rival the likes of the Vivo S18 series and the OPPO Reno 11 series in China.
