During the MWC 2021 event, Qualcomm has officially unleashed the brand new Snapdragon 888 Plus mobile platform which promises even better CPU and AI performance over last year’s Snapdragon 888.
Among all the smartphone makers globally, Honor is the first to confirm that the company will be launching a new smartphone lineup – Honor Magic3 series – that’s powered by the new chipset.
According to Fang Fei, Honor’s President of Product Line, the Snapdragon 888 allows the company to create “a mobile experience that will fulfil the needs of even the most demanding users” through it’s industry-leading performance and gains in AI.
This is certainly a huge step forward for Honor, a company which had a long history of utilizing Huawei’s Hisilicon Kirin chipset for it’s flagship models.
Of course, besides sporting the latest Snapdragon 888+ chipset, we can also well expect the global variant to arrive with Google Mobile Services (GMS) out of the box too!
