Honor has built an excellent track record of launching some of the best flagship smartphones, consistently pushing the envelope in both design and performance. The new Magic 7 Pro is no exception, offering a blend of cutting-edge technology, sleek aesthetics, and powerful features.
From its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset to its stunning 6.80” LTPO OLED display and advanced camera system, the Magic 7 Pro is crafted to deliver an exceptional user experience. Let’s dive in and see how this flagship stands out in the competitive smartphone market.

Honor Magic 7 Pro: Design
The Honor Magic 7 Pro features a modern and sleek design, showcasing a premium aesthetic that competes well with other flagship devices on the market. The first thing that stands out is the curved display, which wraps around the edges, offering an immersive viewing experience. It’s a design choice that feels futuristic and enhances the overall visual appeal of the phone.

The display itself is based on a high-end 6.80” LTPO panel, boasting a 2800 x 1280 resolution that offers sharp, crisp visuals that make everything from reading text to watching high-resolution videos a pleasure. Likewise, the 120Hz adaptive refresh rate also ensures ultra-smooth scrolling, seamless animations, and an optimized balance between performance and battery life. It dynamically adjusts between 1Hz and 120Hz depending on the content, providing efficiency without compromising fluidity.
Another standout feature of the Magic 7 Pro’s screen lies in its stunning peak brightness that goes up to 5,000 nits. This ensures excellent visibility even under direct sunlight, making outdoor usage hassle-free. The addition of HDR Vivid and Dolby Vision also enhances contrast and colour reproduction, making HDR content pop with deeper blacks and vibrant highlights.

The back of the device is similarly striking as it sports a bold and futuristic camera module which comes in the shape of a large, circular bump that creates a distinctive and instantly recognizable look. Design like this not only adds character, but also reflects the phone’s high-end imaging capabilities.
Handling-wise, everything about the phone screams premium, from its polished metal frame to its glass back. Despite its large size, it remains ergonomically designed, making it comfortable to hold for extended periods. As expected from a high-end device, the Honor Magic 7 Pro is also IP69-rated for dust and water resistance, ensuring that the phone is able to endure the toughest conditions on any adventure.
Honor Magic 7 Pro: Performance
Sitting at the heart of the device is Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, paired with up to 16GB of RAM. This combination ensures buttery-smooth performance, no matter what you throw at it. Apps launch instantly, multitasking is effortless, and even the most demanding games run without a hitch. I tested games like PUBG Mobile at max settings, and the phone handled them flawlessly with high frame rates and zero lag.
As usual, one of my biggest concerns with high-performance phones is overheating, but Honor has done a great job with an advanced liquid cooling system. Even after long gaming sessions or 4K video recording, the phone gets warm but never uncomfortably hot.
Of course, performance alone is nothing without good battery life, and its good to know that the Magic 7 Pro holds up well in this aspect. With its 5500mAh battery, I’m able to consistently get one full day of usage, even with heavy gaming and media consumption. In the event that the battery runs out, the 100W fast charging fills up the battery in slightly under 40 minutes, which is insanely convenient.

Honor Magic 7 Pro: Cameras
For photography, the Honor Magic 7 features a powerful triple-camera system along with advanced AI enhancements, and cutting-edge sensor technology which promises stunning photos and videos in almost any scenario. These cameras include a 50 megapixels main camera with a f/1.4 – f/2.0 Self-adjusting Aperture, a 50 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 200 megapixels telephoto camera.

The 50MP main snapper is the real MVP here. It delivers rich colors, crisp details, and great dynamic range, even in tricky lighting. Shots of city streets, food, or even quick indoor snaps came out social-media-ready with little effort. Similarly, I was also impressed by how well the main sensor handled night photography as the built-in Night Mode feature does a great job in enhancing brightness and details without causing photos to look artificial.
Just like any of the recent flagship phones, the Honor Magic 7 Pro also comes with numerous AI features under the hood to further enhance photography experience on the device. One of the coolest features is the new AI Motion Sensing Capture which automatically detects fast-moving subjects and captures them at just the right moment — reducing blur and making sure you don’t end up with awkward mid-motion freezes.
Other than the main camera, the Honor Magic 7 Pro’s 200MP periscope camera is also something that’s worth writing home about. While the periscope lens offers a 3x optical zoom, its high pixel count allows you to zoom way beyond that without losing too much detail.
As seen from the video, quality of photos captured at 3x to 10x zoom remains excellent, with minimal loss of detail. Even at 30x zoom, AI-enhanced sharpening ensures that subjects remain recognizable, though some noise starts creeping in. Beyond 50x digital zoom, images do become noticeably softer, but Honor’s AI processing helps mitigate extreme blurriness.
The Verdict
The Honor Magic 7 Pro is an outstanding flagship that delivers a premium smartphone experience across the board. With its stunning display, powerful performance, and versatile camera system, it’s clear that Honor has put a lot of thought into making this device a top contender in the high-end smartphone market. Whether you’re a mobile gamer, a photography enthusiast, or someone who simply wants a reliable and stylish smartphone, the Honor Magic 7 Pro certainly won’t disappoint.
