Honor Magic V Foldable Phone New Teaser Showcases its Cover Display

Last week, Honor rolled the first teaser image of its upcoming foldable phone called the Magic V. Today, it released a short clip to tease its design and showcase its cover display. Reports have claimed that the Magic V may launch in January 2022.

As can be seen in the video teaser, the Magic V will be sporting an in-ward folding design like other foldables such as Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3, Huawei Mate X2, and OPPO Find N. The cover display of the Magic V will feature a centrally aligned punch-hole. Its bottom edge is fitted with a USB-C port and a speaker grille. The teaser has no information on its specifications. It appears that the brand will start sharing some of its key features in the coming days.

Rumors have it that the Honor Magic V has a 6.5-inch cover display, and it is likely to house an 8-inch foldable display. It is speculated that the Magic V will debut as the world’s first foldable phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.  

The Magic V is likely to feature a 16-megapixel camera on the cover display. Its back panel may house a 108-megapixel triple camera unit. The foldable phone may ship with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of native storage. It may come with a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support.

Reports have revealed that Honor is also working on a clamshell phone with a foldable screen. It is speculated to go official within Q1 2022. Recent reports have revealed that it also gearing up to launch the Honor 60 SE phone in China. Recently, it was spotted with a 40W charger in the database of China’s 3C certification. Probably, it will break cover in January 2022.
