Honor Tab V7 unveiled with MediaTek Kompanio 900T chipset

Last month, Honor announced a premium tablet in the Chinese market known as the Honor Tab V7 Pro that carries an attractive starting price of just 2,599 Yuan (US$401).

Following it’s success, the company is now back with the vanilla Honor Tab V7 that comes with an even more affordable pricing, at the expense of some of it’s key specs.

Starting with the frontside, the Honor Tab V7 features a slightly smaller 10.4” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz screen refresh rate, as well as HDR10 support.

To further improve productivity, the slate can also be paired with the Magic Pencil 2 as well as the Magic Floating Keyboard Case – just like the Honor Tab V7 Pro.

On the imaging side of things, the Honor Tab V7 sports an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for handling selfie and video calls. On the flipside, there’s also a pretty decent 13 megapixels camera which may come in handy at certain point of time.

Unlike it’s ”Pro” counterpart that’s powered by an octa-core MediaTek Kompanio 1300T chipset, the vanilla model settles with a slightly toned-down Kompanio 900T silicon instead. This will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

Interestingly, there isn’t any change to it’s battery department as it retains the same 7,250mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support. Similarly, it’ll also be shipped with the same Magic UI 5.0 based on Android 11 OS out of the box.

For those who’re interested, the Honor Tab V7 is available in a trio of colors including Amber Gold, Blue, as well as Titanium Silver. It’ll carry a starting price of just 1,999 Yuan (US$309) for it’s 6GB+128GB base model in the Chinese market.
