Honor is all set to launch the much anticipated Honor V40 smartphone on January 22nd later this week. Ahead of its official launch, we’d already knew exactly how the upcoming device will look like, as well as some of its key specs.
As we edge closer towards its official launch date, more information pertaining to the device begin to spill out including its alleged pricing which was leaked on Weibo earlier today.
Based on the fresh leak, the Honor V40 is said to be priced at 3,999 Yuan (US$616) in the Chinese market for its 8GB+128GB variant. If this leak is indeed accurate, then the upcoming Honor V40 will be the most expensive Dimensity 1000+ smartphone in the market.
However, does it has what it takes to justify the hefty price tag? We believe it probably does. From what we’d learned so far, the upcoming Honor V40 is tipped to feature a high quality build which include a glass back which some other cheaper Dimensity 1000+ devices lack.
Other than that, the Honor V40 is also among the first to feature the new 50 megapixels IMX766 primary shooter which we first saw on the OPPO Reno5 Pro+. Similarly, it also expected to come with an ultra-fast 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support that surpasses the other Dimensity 1000+ devices.
Whatever it is, a leak is still a leak, so let’s take it with a pinch of salt until its official launch.
