Honor X20 to launch alongside Magic 3 series smartphones on August 12th

Recently, we’d gotten our first look at the upcoming Honor X20 smartphone courtesy of a pair of leaked images on Chinese Weibo microblog. Today, the company has officially confirmed that the Honor X20 will be making it’s official debut during the August 12th launch event, alongside the much anticipated Magic 3 series flagship phones and the Honor V7 Pro tablet.

Honor X20 Launch Date

The upcoming Honor X20 is expected to be a mid-ranger smartphone which boasts slightly improved specs than the Honor X20 SE which was unveiled back in June this year. According to Honor, the Honor X20 will be arriving with a smooth 120Hz front display, 6nm Dimensity chipset, as well as 66W fast-charging support.

In terms of design, the Honor X20 shares an incredibly close resemblance to the Huawei Nova 8i which was recently announced in the Malaysian market. Upfront, it comes with the same pill-shape hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner of the screen where it’s expected to house a single selfie camera.

At the back, it also retains the humongous circular camera island which seems to be inspired by 2019’s Huawei Mate 30. This will be home to a triple-camera setup whose actual specifications remain under the wrap at the moment.
