After launching the Honor X8 smartphone, Honor is now back with another mid-range model known as the Honor X9 in the Malaysian market where the phone will be taking on the likes of some recent models such as the POCO X4 Pro 5G (Review).
Starting with the front, the new Honor Honor X9 builds around a 6.8” IPS LCD display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Other than that, it also has a centered hole-punch cutout to accommodate it’s 16 megapixels selfie camera.
At the back, that’s where things get a bit more interesting. It comes with a circular camera island that’s heavily inspired by the Huawei Mate 40 Pro (Review) and the Honor Magic 3. Anyway, the three cameras include a 48 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels camera for macro and depth information.
Under the hood, the Honor X9 is powered by a newly announced Snapdragon 695 chipset which will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage in the memory department. To keep it’s lights on, the Honor X9 draws power from a respectable 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support.
Coming to the software side of things, it’ll be shipped with the company’s in-house Magic UI 4.2 based on Android 11 out of the box. Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colors such as Titanium Silver, Ocean Blue, as well as Midnight Black.
Sad to say, Honor has yet to reveal any details pertaining to the pricing and availability of the Honor X9 at the moment. However, we’ll certainly find out more about them in the upcoming weeks.
