The Lenovo A880 is a mid-range Android smartphone released by Lenovo back in August last year. The Lenovo A880 runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core chipset, featuring a 6 inches qHD display. Coming with a price tag of less than $160, the Lenovo A880 is no doubt one of the cheapest smartphone available in the market. Like any other Lenovo smartphones, you can root Lenovo A880 rather easily as well. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root Lenovo A880 using the vroot program.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Lenovo A880
- Download the vroot program to your PC.
- Make sure you have installed the necessary device driver before moving on. You can download it here if you have not do so.
- Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging from your device’s settings.
- Make sure there is at least 80% battery left on your smartphone before begin rooting your device.
- Back up the Lenovo A880 smartphone.
Follow the steps below on how to root Lenovo A880
- Install vroot on your PC by double-clicking on its icon.
- Open the vroot program after you’ve installed it.
- Connect the Lenovo A880 to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
- Make sure your PC is able to detect your device.
- Go to the program and click on the ROOT button ( Green button ) to begin rooting the device.
- The program may take quite awhile to root your device. You’ll be prompted once your device has been rooted.
- Your device will automatically be rebooted.
- Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Lenovo A880!
