The Lenovo S850 is a mid-range Android smartphone released by Lenovo back in February this year. The device sports a 5″ HD display powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core chipset along with 1GB of RAM onboard. Other key specs include a 16GB internal storage, microSD slot, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 2,150mAh non-removable battery as well as Android 4.4 KitKat running out of the box.

Since the device comes with an unlocked bootloader, this makes it even easier for us to have it rooted. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root Lenovo S850 using the vroot program. If you’re interested, then read on to find out how to root Lenovo S850 in less than an hour!

  2. Make sure you have installed the necessary device driver before moving on.
  3. Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging from your device’s settings.
  4. Make sure there is more than 50% battery remaining on your Lenovo S850 smartphone.
  5. Back up your Lenovo S850 smartphone.

Follow the steps below on how to root Lenovo S850

  1. Install vroot on your PC by double-clicking on its icon and follow the onscreen instructions.
  2. Connect the Lenovo S850 to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
  3. Next, ensure that your PC is able to detect your device before you move on with the rest of the steps.

  5. On the vroot program, click on the ROOT button ( Green button ) to begin rooting Lenovo S850.
